Anxiety & Depression
As someone who was born into an extremely anxious family, I intimately know what it is like to live with severe anxiety.
I use a combination of cognitive, behavioral, and emotional processing tools to help my clients to manage and alleviate their anxiety whenever it arises.
I help to revisit and, frequently, resolve traumatic episodes from childhood, adolescence, or adulthood. In the vast majority of cases, this leads to progressive reduction in anxiety and overall improvement in the quality of life. I address important childhood development issues of attachment as well as help my clients develop a compassionate, less critical inner voice.
In more than 50% of the cases anxiety is accompanied by depression. I find it very important to help my clients understand what causes their depression and give them practical tools to lift it over time.
Releasing the intense internal stress that leads to fatigue and lack of desire to engage with life is a critical element of my work with depressed individuals.
I also help to address deeply seated shame issues that lead to the overwhelming of the nervous system.
For at least the last 20 years I have had a desperate fear of public speaking… After two sessions I was able to address 800 people with a microphone and enjoy the experience!

Sasha’s support was invaluable in lifting severe depression following a rough breakup. My brain is not trying to kill me anymore, and I can actually look forward to the life ahead of me.

Sasha’s solution-focused, no-pain approach meant that working on difficult issues was actually fun rather than upsetting. I also learned a lot about myself – the benefits of which go well beyond overcoming my anxiety.
